Local Initiatives
The Board Meeting
Altum Property Group is proud to support and promote The Board Meeting charity. The Board Meeting was started by a group of surfers looking to help Sunshine Coast kids with disabilities through a variety of surf-related events.
Run completely by a dedicated group of volunteers and supported by the local business and surfing communities, the charity raises much-needed funds for families who have fallen through the cracks of Government support, are doing it extremely tough financially and have children with needs those of us with healthy kids could hardly fathom.
Peregian Beach SLSC
Altum is a long-term sponsor of the Peregian Beach Surf Life Saving Club, commencing with the patrol t-shirts in 2012. Recently, Rob and Leigh McCready worked on a campaign to bring nippers back to Peregian Beach in collaboration with Noosa Heads SLSC, after an absence of four years, and Altum became the main sponsor of the nipper uniform.
Noosa Chances
Altum has recently come on board to partner with Noosa Chances, which provides education scholarships for talented but financially disadvantaged young people in the Noosa Shire. Talents range from academic excellence to hospitality, and they are currently supporting 39 young people. While Noosa Chances only launched two years ago, the impact of their scholarships on the recipients and families has been significant, as evidenced here. Our team are all unpaid volunteers and we keep our costs low so almost every dollar donated goes directly to our life changing scholarships.
